Resolved API key Error

I have been using Cmandril for sometime untill recently when all mails stopped sending and getting error on frontend "We were unable to decode the JSON response from the Mandrill API" and on accessing the component from administrator side I get this (It seems that the api key you provided is incorrect) error despite having the right key in place.

Are you sure that the key is active and that the key is entered without any spaces in the config?

If the app says invalid key, then it is for some reason invalid and we can't connect to mandrill.

I cross checked everything and the API key is the one I generated on my mandrill account.

Is perhaps the key restricted to some IP or something? Can you generate a new key and add try with it?

Are you sure that you've provided the key in the cmnadrill component options?

I've generated new keys severally with no luck. Cmandill was working well for several months but all of a sudden just observed that mails stopped going. I went to the component and found that error! What can be the possible source?

No idea. But if the component says - wrong api key, then the api key is wrong.
