Hello Yves,
Thanks for the Matukio 7.0.10 latest release. I am testing the component on a multilingual site (English and German) and I can see how intuitive it is to leverage the language overrides by having language constants in double hashes (##) to translate text. Though, there are some areas where the language constant is problematic.
Giving an event title a language constant (in the back end) is good for allowing an event title language change in the front end (though, this is not good for an alias) and is also good for the translated title to appear in the notification e-mail. However, for some reason, the language constant appears in the breadcrumbs (see attached image 001a), when viewing the Event details page in the front end for an event that uses a language constant, instead of normal/override text. Is there a way for you to fix this without having to disable the breadcrumbs module for the Events menu item? This not a problem with my template as the issue appears on the Protostar template (see attached image 002a).
Also on the Events details page, I assume the Event category is displayed as a link (see attached image 001a), but when this link is clicked on, the Event list page is displayed but the events are not filtered based on the category selected. Is this a bug or the expected function? Further to this issue, when the second language is selected (in this case German) the translated category link, for some reason, inherits the names of menu items (see attached image 003a) of the Main menu! Though clicking on what should be the category link, with the menu item name, just displays the unfiltered Event list page, as it does with the default language. It looks like there is a routing problem with this particular link on the Event details page wouldn’t you think?
Is Falang compatible with the Matukio component? As this would be one way to manage the aliases for both languages when using a language constant as an Event title, in addition to some other areas. I hope for some solutions.
